The National Franchise Exhibition took place this October, on Friday 13th
- Saturday 14th in Birmingham. Being the UK’s largest franchise exhibition, this event provides visitors with the chance to discover the variety of franchising opportunities that are available to them.
Bluebird Care enjoyed an eventful two days speaking with visitors who wanted to find out more about a Bluebird Care Franchise, with some even have pre-arranged meetings with our franchise recruitment team. Whilst others had come from all over the country to find out more about what Bluebird Care is all about, the territories we have available and how they can get involved with our award-winning franchise model.
Over the course of the two-day event the team even managed to arrange 8 follow up meetings with visitors who are now keen to take their interest in buying a Bluebird Care franchise to the next level.
Speaking of the success at this year’s event Carole Stubbs, Bluebird Care’s franchise recruitment manager commented;
We had a very busy couple of days with many people really keen to understand the opportunities presented by owning a ‘values-driven’ franchise business within the care sector. Many people had really done their homework before coming to the event and that preparation made for some very interesting conversations. I am looking forward to meeting with potential new franchise owners for Bluebird Care following the event.
On Friday, we were delighted to be joined by franchisees Victoria Webber and John Webber from Bluebird Care North East Lincolnshire & West Lindsey, Lincoln and South Lincolnshire, who enjoyed answering an array of questions raised by our visitors.
When not on the stand Victoria Webber also took part in a conference run by the bfa coinciding with the exhibition to raise awareness of multi-unit franchise opportunities. This event sponsored by HSBC was the UK’s first Multi-unit franchise conference and was uniquely placed to equip franchisees with the knowledge to succeed. Topics covered were things such as, how to identify the right time to expand, managing performance and planning exit strategies. Victoria was asked by the bfa get involved and share her knowledge on how to develop a marketing strategy for multi-unit franchising through a 40-minute presentation.
Speaking of her involvement, Victoria said:
I found the conference really informative, I managed to learn a fair amount from some of the speakers and it really put what I have achieved into perspective. As it was my first time speaking at a conference, apart from being a little nervous it was a great experience and I met some exceptional people.
On top of this, our chief operating officer, Duncan Berry took part in one of the bfa panels, ‘expanding your business though franchising’ including how to franchise an existing business or develop a new venture. Duncan was also joined by individuals from the bfa, Ashtons and Hamilton Pratt.
Duncan commented on the event:
The exhibition provided us with a small but well qualified group of prospects who had either previously done their research on Bluebird Care or the home care sector and wanted to focus their time accordingly and make the best us of their time at the exhibition. In less than a week, we already have meetings with a number visitors from the two days which again shows their wish to maintain the momentum. It was also great to have Victoria Webber contribute to the Multi-Unit Franchise seminar, with them now operating four offices, which was attended by a further half dozen franchisees making Bluebird Care the best represented franchise at the event.
After a successful weekend, we are now looking forward to continuing the conversations, answering questions and welcoming new franchisees to our network.
